Pramod Joshi Memorial - An Appeal

     Milind Bhadbhade

Dear Friends,

I do not need to remind you of Pramod Joshi and his contribution to Pune bridge.

He has worn many hats—player, tournament director, and organizer—earning a reputation for dependability, precision, and a clockwork-like punctuality.

His selfless contribution to the flourishing of Pune Bridge, particularly during the terrible days of Covid, are something to be remembered with a lot of gratitude. He ensured that Pune had a regular, full bridge calendar on virtually every day of the week. And all of this without seeking a penny for his efforts.

Fate took him cruelly from us at an age where he would ordinarily have had a lot more to share and enjoy with us. We, who have been left behind can only hope to commemmorate his memory.

The PRBA, has dedicated their annual tournament this year to this colossus among men. It will be conducted from 26-28 September at Deccan Club Hirabag.

In order to make this a grand success, I earnestly request you to increase the prize money kitty by contributing your might to his memory.  Those of you who would like to contribute can contact Sukrit Vijayakar (98334 30370) for more details on how this can be done.

We thank you humbly for your support

Yours sincerely

Milind Bhadbade,
President, PRBA
